Anderson Cooper Thinks There's No Way Amanda Knox Is Going Back To Italy! Mar 27th 2013, 00:44 We agree! We don't really see Amanda Knox going back to Italy, even with an extradition order. Amanda was acquitted of the 2007 stabbing murder in October 2011 and just recently started having a normal life again in Seattle -- she was moving on and even got a new boyfriend. It's so strange that this is surfacing yet again, but on the other hand our legal system here works differently than the one in Italy. It might not make sense to us like it does to them or something! Here's what Anderson said: "Right, well, her original trial was overturned by an appeals court, and I guess now this new court has decided the appeals court didn't have the proper authorization to rule the way they did, so it goes back to the appeals court. The question is, will she actually return to Italy, and I don't think there is any way she is ever going to go back to Italy. She doesn't have to. She could be possibly, if convicted, they could request extradition, but the U.S. could be like, 'We are not happy with the way the whole system played out so we are not going to extradite her back.' I think she is fine; she's going to have to fight it from here. If I was her, I would be like, 'I am not going back at all, I'm not even going to the Olive Garden.'" LOLz!!! Yeah, we agree with Anderson whole-heartedly here. We don't really see us complying with the extradition just for a new trial, especially such a high-profile one that absolved her in the end. It seems like a waste of time and money on Italy's part, too! We're shocked that she's not being left alone, and we can totally understand when she says the new ruling was "painful" and "completely unfounded and unfair." If there's no shocking new evidence, then what's the point? It's just bizarre to us they don't have a double jeopardy system in place to keep such wastes from happening! [Image via WENN.]
