Ashley Judd broke the hearts of just about everyone in Kentucky this afternoon as she announced she will not be running for U.S. Senate!
The 44-year-old actress delivered the disappointing news via Twitter, promising that she'd continue to fight the good fight, but that right now wasn't the right time for her to make her run.
She admitted:
After serious and thorough contemplation, I realize that my responsibilities & energy at this time need to be focused on my family.

It's sad the Double Jeopardy star won't march on Washington any time soon, but we totes respect and understand that she values her commitments to her family!!
We're sure she will continue doing great work within her community!
